Summer travels....

We have certainly been on the go the last few weeks! In late May we headed to Minnesota to see Eric's parents, sister and children Evvie and Alex. It was Maggie's first time flying and she proved to be a perfect traveler. Ellie has always enjoyed flying and got a kick out of wearing her own set of headphones this trip. We had a fun picnic, went to an awesome Children's museum in Minneapolis as well as enjoyed the Mall of America! I could not get over the amusement park right inside of this mall!
In early June we spent a weekend in Huntington, WV visiting my Dad and extended family. It was a nice family reunion though just a quick 48 hour trip! We are so lucky to have such good travelers... Seriously, as long as both girls are fed they're absolute angels in the plane, train or automobile!
The gentleman with the brown hat on is my Uncle Taylor- My Dad's older brother. Maggie is named after him. I also had a Grandfather Taylor, have a cousin Taylor and twin brother Taylor and nephew Taylor!

Daddy's Birthday Cake

We try and make Birthdays very special around our house! Allowing Ellie to make her Daddy's birthday cake was truly an awesome experience for her this month. Until a month ago, Ellie was not able to tolerate any kind of cake product due to her severe milk allergy. She has recently grown-out of this (Her pediatrician was right when he said she would grow out of this by age 4!) and absolutely loves a birthday cake. It's her favorite part of any birthday party now! So, off we went to the grocery store and Ellie did everything from pick out the cake mix, icing and the many different decorations. She cracked the eggs, beat the batter, poured the oil, you name it- she DID it!! I think I have a little baker on my hands!

Last Day of School

Ellie really enjoyed her first year at Forest Hill Playschool. She has learned so much and made so many wonderful little friends. There were 8 students in her class- and 2 wonderful teachers... Miss Michelle and Miss Betty. 3 of her classmates actually live right here in Cameron Wood so we're hoping to stay in touch over the summer.
Ellie loves talking about Jesus and often says...'Mommy, Jesus and Baby Maggie are in my heart'... or the other day she told me she wanted to go to Bethlehem to meet baby Jesus. One of her favorite songs she learned is called 'B-I-B-L-E- that's the book for me' and she sings that song daily to her baby sister! Here are a couple of pics from her last day of school at the park with her teachers.
Can't forget Maggie with Miss Betty-- We're hoping Miss Betty will be her teacher in 2011!
